its crazy sometimes when we just want to leave the country we are staying in cause of what it is.
climate, people, a "better future". but we fail to realise that this aint so bad to what we think.
after watching a documentary on youtube (after hearing abt it from my colleague), i became more appreciative of where i am - infront of my computer in the comforts of my home knowing that i can hang out in town one day this week, freely.
imagine this:
your country is runned by a dictator.
you bow to his photo wherever you go - home, on the street, etc.
you have a 60 metre bronze statue of your country's leader in the city
the books you read and only can are probably writen by your leader's father. - no harry potter. what's harry potter?
NO INTERNET
CELL PHONES ARE BANNED
you sing songs of praise about your leader
you are SERIOUSLY CUT OFF FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD.
thats north korea for you.
shocking.
the documentary showed this nobel doc who went there to cure patients from cataracts. when they could finally see after like 35 years, who would you thank?
you would say your doctor right?
but no, the first thing they ALL did was to thank their leader for curing them by bowing in front of his photo and shout praises.
sigh!
